Furnishings for the community such as those for gyms, schools and canteens require that a lot of attention be paid especially to the functionality of the furniture and individual accessories, taking into account both the environments and the purposes for which they are used. When evaluating the furniture for community places, many factors must be considered.
In the gym for example, in addition to the various fitness equipment, it is important to create a pleasant and organized environment both in the changing rooms and in the bathrooms.
People need to move comfortably, store coats and personal items in specially equipped spaces, have the possibility of undressing and dressing while sitting on benches or chairs, and possibly use closable wardrobes with a padlock to store and keep their personal items.
This is why gyms must provide spaces with everything needed for guests, not only functional but also well-matched with the surrounding environment.
Obviously there are the necessary exceptions. The benches, for example, can be separated from the rest of the furniture or form a single body with bag and shoe racks underneath.
Clearly in small spaces it is more appropriate to focus on vertical furniture, which exploits the height and not the width of the rooms, thus trying to allow the use of everything without impediments, leaving it available to everyone.
Regardless of the size of the rooms it is always good to consider more elements to make the use of shared spaces comfortable and easy. Therefore it is important to include wardrobes with locks, shelves, chairs, armchairs, poufs and other accessories of all kinds in the furniture.
Usually the most used materials for furniture that furnish places intended for the community are: wood, steel, aluminum, plastic and all those easily washable, absolutely excluding fabrics because they are not at all hygienic. The latter is an element that should not be overlooked, especially by virtue of the large number of people who can use the furniture in question.
Equally practical and functional must be the supplies for canteens and schools.
If we are talking about school canteens, for example, the main things to consider are: the size of the furniture, the absence of sharp corners, a conformation between table and chairs that does not foresee particular obstacles and the need to make sure that everything is child-sized!
On the other hand, in canteens for adults, as in those found in workplaces, we must prefer practicality over everything else, obviously with an eye to European safety regulations, which manufacturers of furniture for public places have been adhering to for some time.
You just have to choose between monobloc tables and chairs, benches and single seats, always considering the functionality and the space available.
To furnish schools there is even more possibility to indulge in the choices, since the environments require many more objects: teachers, benches, chairs, shelves, coat racks, desks for PC stations, lockers, notice boards and many other furnishing accessories.
Regardless of the public place you want to furnish, you must not overlook the importance of a space to be used as an infirmary, which has at least the bare minimum in terms of furnishings: bed, table and chairs, medicine trolley, wardrobe, first aid kit and screen.
